Dear Parents/Gaurdians
Assalamu Alaikum Warahmatu Allah Wa Barakatuh,
Welcome to my Grade 3 classroom blog for the 2014/2015 academic school year! My name is Mrs. Mian and I am very excited to work with all of you to set your children up for life long learners. I am originally from Houston,Texas and have taught for over 8 years. I have taught KG to Grade 5, and also English Language Learners. This is my third year teaching at CIS.
I am looking forward to spending the year with your child. We have many new things to learn and explore together. I view education as a journey that we all take, which takes a lifetime to travel. I hope that I make 3rd grade a pleasant and productive part of that journey. To help that happen you, your child, and I will be working together to ensure the best possible trip. There are a few things I need from you to help that happen.
Check your child’s agenda every day. I know I will.
*Read the Website. It will help with upcoming info.
*Have a quiet place for your child to practice skills.
*Practice math facts every night.
*Read with your child every night.
All of these things will help them be successful in the classroom. I will be doing everything that I can to help them achieve their goals. I know that we both want a safe, caring, and encouraging place to learn.
Mrs. Mian
